About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Education Coordinator to liaise between students and Program staff. You will be responsible for triaging needs, supporting the retention of students in and out of the classroom, and providing supportive service referrals and follow-up to remediate barriers to employment. You will partner with students to track post-training goals and provide accountability and support. You will also collect and analyze student and alumni feedback, ensuring that the Program prioritizes high quality and effective services to the community.

About Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for students following enrollment, and triage needs with the Program team
  • Provide oversight and weekly review of attendance and grade reports, coordinate with Instructors to ensure accurate record-keeping and follow-up with students
  • Address student complaints and concerns, and document in Salesforce; provide follow-up, resolution and/or actions taken
  • Support kick-off for new students, ensuring that they are met with a welcoming environment and students are informed on who to contact for various needs
  • Work with Instructors to support collaboration among students in and out of the classroom, including study groups
  • Complete employment retention follow-up at 30 day increments up to 1 year and update SF records and notes
  • Address and remediate with students, barriers to employment and retention
  • Offer supportive service referrals to students and alumni as appropriate and provide follow-up and SF tracking.
  • Liaise between students, alumni, and Byte Back staff on employment support, personal development trainings, or class re-enrollment assistance
  • Organize and lead small alumni networking opportunities
  • Administer and coordinate student survey feedback with Instructors and other Program staff, and ensure follow-up and Salesforce tracking
  • Coordinate the verification and distribution of incentive program materials such as SNAP metro cards and other vouchers as appropriate; verify enrollment of students as requested
  • Support students with reasonable accommodations for training, and liaise between Instructor and Education Manager as necessary
  • Assist with outreach events and community events
  • Coordinate and disseminate student newsletter-bi-weekly
  • Respond to and coordinate general inquiries for request for information via website or telephone.

About Your KSA's

  • BA in related field
  • Must have 3-4 years' experience in case management and human services
  • Has solid grasp of community resources within the DC Metro area
  • Documentation and data-tracking skills
  • Time management - highly organized and punctual, observes deadlines
  • Discreet sensitivity to personal information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Employment Type

Salary Range: $45,000 - $48,000 per year
Employee Compensation and Benefits: Salary is commensurate with experience
